To use phonebook.gatech.edu you must install and use a custom phonebook client.

Step 1: download/install one of the clients below

Download Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP Custom Client
This is the stand-alone Windows client that will allow you to search and browse both white and yellow page listings.

Install/Access ActiveX Control
This is the Windows Internet Explorer ActiveX control that will allow you to search and browse white and yellow page listings inside of Internet Explorer.

Download Macintosh Custom Client
This is the stand-alone Macintosh OS 9 client that will allow you to search and browse white page listings. Currently this client is unable to access yellow page listings. Requires Microsoft Office.

Note: there are no Unix versions are available (see the FAQ for more details).

(Step 2): If prompted for the address of the server, use:

http://phonebook.gatech.edu/bellsouth

DO NOT cut and paste this address,
type it in by hand. If you cut and paste it,
you will likely include a trailing space after
'bellsouth' and that will cause the client not
function correctly.

Using the application is very intuitive; for more details or assistance, you can click on the help icon ( ) in the application. Naturally, there are also other helpful links in the application's "Help" menu.
